Software

Through SURFspot, students, teachers, and (almost) anyone with a login account in higher education and elementary education can get discounts on software. We offer various types of software at a discount. For example, we have antivirus programs to protect your laptop or PC. Here’s a selection from our antivirus lineup: McAfee, AVG, Avast, Norton, and Eset.

Of course, we also offer design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Corel DRAW, and Magix Music Maker for creating music, as well as Pinnacle for video editing. You can find all of this software under “Creation & Design.” SURFspot also offers software for conducting quantitative research and analyzing data. We carry well-known software like SPSS. Our selection also includes programs for creating questionnaires. You can also turn to SURFspot to update the operating system on your laptop. In short, we offer a wide selection—always at a discount. This ensures that, whether you’re a student, teacher, or researcher, you’re always well-prepared for your studies and/or work.

Partnering with Educational Institutions for Software

We collaborate with (almost) all universities, colleges, and elementary schools in the Netherlands. That’s why you can log in using your university or college account. Because of this partnership, your educational institution partly determines which licenses you—as a student, teacher, or staff member—will have access to. For many licenses, they’ve even paid a portion of the cost already. That’s one of the reasons why you get such a big discount on software through SURFspot. Another reason is that SURFspot is a non-profit organization and doesn’t aim to make a profit from selling software.
