Description
In early 1933, *De Zeven Provinciën*, an armored ship of the Dutch Navy, was sailing through the waters of the Dutch East Indies when a mutiny broke out. This caused a major uproar in both the Netherlands and the Dutch East Indies. After six days, the government put an end to it by dropping a bomb on the ship. Twenty-three people were killed and many were wounded. Those on board were arrested and received harsh prison sentences. One of those on board was Antoon de Graaf, the author’s father.
